Damon Clear Nampa ID

Damon Clear uses what's called a "passive" slide mechanism to maintain archwires within the bracket, allowing them to move freely. This reduces friction and binding, so your teeth can move quickly and more comfortably. Studies show that Damon System treatment is up to six months faster than traditional braces for teens and adult braces. Other benefits of Damon Clear include:

  • Polycrystalline alumina (PCA) material which is resistant to staining from coffee, mustard and red wine.
  • Eliminates the need for elastomerics.
  • Sturdy construction for exceptional strength and durability.
  • Four solid walls enable effective torque expression and rotation control for meticulous finishing.
  • Smooth, rounded contours for exceptional patient comfort.

Faster, more convenient and comfortable orthodontic care

Most orthodontic specialists achieve straight teeth for their patients by attaching an archwire that exerts enough force to slowly reposition them. With traditional braces for teeth, that wire is secured to the bracket by an elastic band, or “ligature.” This method causes frequent adjustments as the teeth move. Elastic ligatures also stretch and need periodic replacement. They can trap food particles and bacteria, become stained and difficult to clean.

Dr. Chris, on the other hand, uses the Damon Braces System brackets. They work differently, holding the archwire behind a sliding door and creating a tunnel that holds the wire but lets it slide freely. With Damon braces and no elastic ties, cleaning the teeth and braces is much easier and stained elastic ties are a thing of the past.
